What Has Happened Lately? | Lifestyle

Hey amours, life has been pretty busy lately. So I thought rather than just letting things like that go by, how about I turn it into a chatty, little get to know me more post. First things first, exams and college are officially over. Honestly, this past month has been boring and annoying with exams being in the way. Getting revision done was the focal point, sitting in one place with papers and flash cards in front me was pretty much what I hated because I love to relax and binge watch without feeling guilty, even though I actually still did. But now that it is over, I have a good 3 months gap between now and university. So bring on the summer holiday!

Hence the next point, I've finally got myself a job! Oh my god! You guys know how it has been for me. It's honestly so hard to get a job. I applied so many times, and lets put it out there truthfully I got rejected. However after all the sweat and tears, I am an official employee for Primark. Yes go girl! Well I can't disclose much about my experience, but I will say it's going well. Having worked for two weeks there's not been any issue, and the fact that I'm contracted 8 hours is not bad because I can always do other things like blogging, chilling, and overtime if I wanted.

Ramadhan started 3 weeks ago, and it's so unfortunate as it is the last week. This blessed month no matter how long the fasts are, I will forever adore this month so much because of the peace and tranquility it brings to the Muslim Ummah (community). Also as it is the last week, I want you all Muslim readers as well as I, to make the most out of it. Pray taraweeh if you haven't, do more Zikr, pray all your Salat if you haven't prayed the daily 5 and only just some, give charity to the poor and needy. I donated some money through Human Appeal, so there are trustworthy charities out there for you to donate to, and it will go to the right places. Amours, you don't understand the beauty of this month, good deeds are multiplied 70x.

I've done my Eid shopping, honestly it's never too early to start shopping, and searching through the web. Mines just arrived a couple of days ago, WOHOO! It looks great, and I can't wait to do a blog post on it, and actually put the pieces together for the final look on Eid <3 Eid is such a beautiful occasion that it's always fun looking forward to it, and imagining the delicious food my mum prepares, with my help obviously. Not going to let her do it all by herself.

Lastly, I got a laptop! This is really exciting for me, because ever since I've been blogging, I've been either using my phone, or college computers to type up posts, but since there's no more college, and I have a long summer holiday, I really don't want to be using my phone all the time to create a post. Plus for university it's definitely convenient to have a laptop with me. So all thanks to mummy, I've finally got one. That to in white (Ah! That blogger side of me).

Oh and one more thing, which I just have to mention. Dina, and I mean Dina Torkia tweeted back to m, it was just a a few words, but it made my day. She freaking inspires me a lot, with the way she is, as a female Muslim fashion designer as well as v|blogger, and Masha'Allah she is doing so well for herself. So yes when she did tweet back, I was jumping up and down and screaming <3 Still fangirling though :D

Alhumdulillah this month has gone well, and I really can't wait till September, with my birthday coming soon. I'm already planning on what to do. Hope you lovelies enjoyed the post, and I can't express how good it feels to be typing again <3

  1. Isn't it always wonderful when finals are done? Exams are the worst. Yay! Congrats on the job! I'm so happy for you! Just keep yourself busy and make that money. I didn't know you were blogging from your phone or school computers but I can only imagine how much of a pain that has been. It'll be so much nicer on your own laptop I'm sure! What kind did you get if you don't mind me asking?
