clase hornear | 5 min recipe: waffles with ice cream
Waffles (Sainburys/Tesco/Asda)
Vanilla Ice Cream
1/2 chopped banana
Double Cream
Whipped Cream
Optional:
Strawberry syrup
Melted chocolate
Instructions:
- Grab an ice cream tub from your freezer and leave it out for about 10 - 15 minutes.
Tip: For an easier scoop, run hot water over a spoon for a few seconds, then scoop the ice cream out.

- Make sure you have all the ingredients set out for yourself to get.
- Chop half a banana into small pieces, not too thin or too thick, just about normal.
- Warm two or one waffles on a plate, or dessert bowl (depending on how much you want) in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
- Warm up some chocolate, or you could use chocolate syrup. Alternatively, I prefer to get 2 tablespoon of nutella, and put it into a little bowl and warm it for about 30 seconds in the microwave. (If you don't want chocolate drizzle then leave this step out above.)
- Get 2 scoops of ice cream and place each of them on one waffle.
- Decorate the plate with some chopped banana. You can add them wherever you feel like.
- Get the whipped cream, shake it and then spray some where you want to.
- Drizzle some melted chocolate/chocolate syrup or strawberry syrup on over the ice cream and waffles (you can do what I did, and that is drizzle it before you put the ice cream)
- Lastly end the dessert with some double cream over it, the same way you drizzle the chocolate syrup etc.

Voila! Your waffles with ice cream is done. This is a quick recipe on how I usually make this. The toppings like the syrup, melted chocolate are optional. You don't have to put them if you don't want to, though it does add more taste. Also you can always add more fruits if you want, and if you want to be more creative, then you can always just use some different flavored ice creams or toppings like sprinkles etc.
This recipe is up to you. You can literally put whatever you feel like! There is no restriction to it. Moreover the ingredients I used are not that hard to get access to, so most likely you can get it from your local supermarket.
Hope this recipe helped any of you guys out there, and don't forget to leave a comment below, letting me know how it went if you do try it out :)
